dolce & gabbana facade proposal

dkstudio was invited by D&G to produce a one-of-a-kind storefront with a Canadian theme as an explorative project for D&G's first stand-alone flagship project on Bloor Street in Toronto, Canada.

dkstudio produced two distinct design concepts using a perforated corten steel screen in the D&G laced pattern. The material was chosen to represent the raw material that is prominent in Canada. The proportions are suggestive of a Victorian Gable roof or an Italian villa. The bespoke designs are Italian, exemplary of D&G style, and uniquely representative of Canada's landscape.
