​gucci west edmonton mall

dkstudio was executive architect for Gucci's 5040 square foot store in West Edmonton Mall. This store is Gucci's first standalone store in Alberta,  and its third within Canada. It is also dkstudio's second executed store in the mall following the Louis Vuitton store located just next to Gucci.

Like many updated Gucci stores in Canada, the Edmonton store features a marble clad storefront, boiserie walls and ceiling, velvet accents, along with herringbone wood and marble 'carpet' floors. The store was completed in March 2021, and despite the pandemic the store has been performing well.
